Whatever the future of Call of Duty after the end of the agreement between Microsoft and ActiBlizz (if not prevented by antitrust regulators or something), it is now one of the most popular game franchises and has had a significant impact on the development of the genre. As part of yesterday’s full show of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Activision shared some interesting statistics.
For all the time, the Call of Duty series has sold around the world with a total circulation of about 425 million copies. In terms of money, the Call of Duty franchise has brought in more than $30 billion.
