Late on the evening of June 12th, the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase was a massive joint online streaming event dedicated to the upcoming games that will be released on Xbox and PC in the next 12 months – during the hour and a half stream, more than 30 game announcements from partners and internal Xbox studios were heard. In particular, they showed the first gameplay of Starfield and Redfall, finally announced the release date of the long-awaited action-RPG Diablo IV, told details about the new Forza Motorsport and much more. If you suddenly missed the event, we have collected the main news and trailers from the presentation together.
redfall
Redfall is one of the biggest and most anticipated Xbox exclusives, having recently moved to the first half of 2023. Recall that this is a cooperative action in the open world about vampire hunters from the Arkane Austin team, known for Prey and Dishonored. Players will be able to choose characters with unique abilities to assemble a team and repel a town called Redfall in Massachusetts. During the stream, for the first time, real gameplay was shown – in the video you can see several locations where the game’s events unfold, as well as several battles. In addition, the developers showed several different types of vampires and four rake characters – Jacob, Remy, Devinder and Lyle. Each of them will have their own unique abilities.
Redfall will be included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Finally, Team Cherry opened the curtain and revealed a little more of their long-awaited action-platformer coming to Xbox, Switch and PC (no PlayStation yet). The game will also be available on Game Pass.
High On Life
Next game by Squanch Games and Justin Roiland (co-creator of River and Morty). It’s a first-person shooter coming out in October on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will also appear in the Xbox Game Pass catalog on the day of release.
Riot Games on Game Pass
Riot Games (the developer of League of Legends and Valoran) has announced a partnership with Xbox and is bringing many of its games to the Game Pass catalog for PC and mobile devices.
A Plague Tale: Requiem
The sequel to Asobo Studios’ adventure game about sister and brother Amicia and Hugo in 14th century France. The game will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will be available immediately on Game Pass.
Forza Motorsport
For car racing enthusiasts, Xbox has unveiled the next game in the acclaimed series. It will release in Spring 2023 on Xbox and PC. It will also be available on Game Pass. In the video below, the developers revealed a lot of details about the features of the new part and showed gameplay footage. In general, it looks promising, so we are waiting.
Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary
An extended version of the civil aviation simulator will be released in November on Xbox and PC consoles. The 40th Anniversary Update will include helicopters, gliders and more. In addition, Flight Simulator will receive a free themed DLC that will bring vehicles from Halo and it will also replenish the Game Pass catalog.
Overwatch 2
The PvP mode in the upcoming sequel to Blizzard’s team-based shooter will be free. The game will be released in Early Access on October 4th. The release will take place simultaneously on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

Scorn
The biopunk first-person action-adventure video game inspired by the work of artist Hans Rudi Giger launches October 21 on Xbox Series X, PC and immediately on Game Pass.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
Action RPG in the open world from Kepler Interactive and A44 Games. In the center of the plot is the warrior girl Nor and her companion Enki. This is an adventure game set in a fantasy world where magic and primitive firearms coexist. The game will release on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Game Pass in early 2023.
Minecraft Legends
The action-packed strategy game for Minecraft will be released in 2023 on Xbox and PlayStation, as well as on PC and Nintendo Switch. Also, the game, developed by Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive, will appear in Game Pass.
Lightyear Frontier
An open-world farming sim with crafting and co-op launches in Spring 2023 on Xbox, PC and Game Pass.
Gunfire Reborn
The multi-level adventure game with RPG elements, Roguelite and FPS with firearms and magic spells will be released in October 2022 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Also, the game will appear at the start of Game Pass.
The Last Case of Benedict Fox
Indimetering about a detective who coexists with the demon that possessed him. Featuring an amazing visual style inspired by the works of Tim Burton, the game will release in Spring 2023 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. She, too, will immediately appear in Game Pass.
As Dusk Falls
A cinematic action-adventure detective story with a story driven by player actions and decisions from independent studio INTERIOR/NIGHT will be released on July 19th.
Naraka Bladepoint
NetEase’s previously announced 60-player Battle Royale is coming to Xbox on June 23rd.

Story-driven adventure game from the famous studio Obsidian Entertainment. Its development is led by Josh Sawyer, game director for Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity. It will be a medieval detective in Bavaria of the 16th century with an original visual style reminiscent of illustrations for manuscripts of that era. The main character of the story will be the apprentice Andreas Mahler.
Grounded
Obdisian’s co-op survival sim launches in September on Xbox, PC and Game Pass.
Ereban: Shadow Legacy
Ereban is a new stealth platform game from indie studio Baby Robot Games. The game will tell the story of the girl Ayana, who is the last representative of the ancient race. The game will be released on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2023. It will also be available to Game Pass subscribers immediately.
Diablo IV
Blizzard showed a cinematic trailer for the Necromancer and confirmed that the game will be released in 2023. The developers also showed four minutes of gameplay.
Sea of Thieves
Rare showed a music trailer in which they announced the launch date for the seventh season of the game – July 21. The developers also reported that the game has crossed the milestone of 30 million players.
Ravenlock
A new Alice in Wonderland-themed game from Echo Generation is coming to Xbox and PC in 2023. It will also be coming to Game Pass immediately.
Cocoon
Puzzle platformer co-authors Inside. Releases in 2023 on Xbox and Game Pass.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
A new (dark) game from Team Ninja will be released in early 2023 on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It will also appear on Game Pass.
Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal on PC and Xbox
Atlus will release three games in the series on PC and Xbox, with Persona 5 Royal coming out on October 21st. Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable will be released later. Each of the Persona games will be available to Game Pass subscribers.
Collaboration with Kojima Productions
Microsoft has announced a partnership with renowned developer Hideo Kojima and his studio Kojima Productions. The game designer will use Microsoft’s cloud technology to create the game “that you’ve always dreamed of making.” So far, there are no other details on the project. The name is still kept secret.
Starfield
As expected, Bethesda has revealed the gameplay of Starfield , the ambitious space RPG, which is being developed by about 450 BGS employees under the direction of Todd Howard. The gameplay demonstration was conducted by Todd Howard himself – in the video you can see separate fragments with the exploration of planets and space bases, collecting resources and crafting items, skirmishes with pirates, as well as the possibility of customizing the character (his pumping system and skill tree). Players are promised complete freedom of action – they will be able not only to modify weapons and equipment, but also to build their own spaceship from individual modules and recruit a team for it.
Starfield is still scheduled for the first half of 2023 – the exact date has not yet been announced.
