Police clearance certificate is one of the most popular certificates among Ukrainians. This certificate is required for applying for a job, obtaining a visa to travel abroad, participation in a tender, adoption, establishment of guardianship, registration of citizenship, entry into territorial defense. Its launch in Diia was one of the key announcements during the 4th Diia Summit on February 8, but after shutting down and transferring state registries due to the war, this service, like many others, has not yet returned. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs , Ukrainians annually order more than 500,000 police clearance certificates.
To get a certificate, you must first enter the “Personal Account” – and first go through the identification through the ID.GOV.UA service. After authorization, fill in all the fields and send the request. Its automatic processing takes place almost instantly, and in a few minutes an excerpt will appear in electronic form with a QR code that allows you to check the validity of the document, the developers assure.
Since the extract is an electronic document, an apostille is not affixed to it, since this is not provided for by law.
