The original cartoon “Puss in Boots”, rethinking the fairy tale of the same name, was released back in 2011. Since then, this hero has repeatedly appeared in the Shrek franchise and finally deserved a full-fledged sequel called Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
As you all probably know, cats have nine lives in reserve and death occurs only if this reserve is completely depleted. Cautious and prudent cats are able to stretch this number for a very long time, but “Puss in Boots” is not at all like that. At some point, it turns out that he has foolishly spent eight lives already and is now living his last attempt. In order not to leave the world ahead of time, he decides to settle down and become a house cat, but former enemies come after him … (does it really remind you of a typical story about a retired killer?).
The protagonist was voiced by Antonio Banderas, and in addition to his old girlfriend Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek), the dog Perro (Harvey Gilier), Goldilocks (Florence Pugh), Mama Bear (Olivia Colman), Big Bad Wolf (Wagner) will also appear in the film Moura) and others.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is set to premiere on December 21, 2022 from Universal Pictures / DreamWorks.
