Apple is moving very smoothly to OLED. So, over the past two years, the company has transferred the entire line of iPhones to organic crystals, but so far it has been slow with the iPad and Mac. It is known for sure that this year such a transition will not take place, and profile specialist Ross Young (Ross Young) is confident that the first MacBook and iPad Pro will be presented in 2024. In the case of a laptop, the most preferred option is to replenish the MacBook Air series, although the option of a MacBook Pro or the opening of a new line is not ruled out. iPad Pro, on the other hand, will allegedly both receive OLED, although by 2023 11 “and 12.9” formats may be revised.
Note that Apple recently began working with miniLED technology, which is one step closer in image quality to the level of OLED, but is still inferior in brightness, contrast and energy efficiency. At this stage, it is difficult to assess how the transition to OLED will affect pricing, but it is unlikely that a rise in price will be avoided. The next new iPad Pro is expected in September-October this year.
