Market researchers continue to share interesting findings from around the world. This time, Strategy Analytics has announced the top ten most popular smartphone models in China for the first quarter of 2022. Residents of the Middle Kingdom once again confirmed their ardent love for Apple devices: three of the top five positions in the ranking are occupied by fresh iPhones. At the top of sales, the base iPhone 13 dominates, followed by the Honor 50 with a noticeable lag.
The honorable third place went to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, but the sudden budget OPPO A56 and iPhone 13 Pro conclude the top five with almost equal performance. And this despite the fact that the volume of shipments of apple devices in China this spring has decreased markedly. The second half of the list consists exclusively of budgets, among which last year’s and noticeably cheaper sub-flagship Redmi K40 wormed its way.
Even more curious is the report on the volume of shipments among brands in China. According to it, Chinese users warmly welcomed the resurgent Honor, immediately pushing it to the second position in the list (+200%) with a minimal lead over the so far leading OPPO. Although, given the actively declining performance of both OPPO, and Vivo, and Xiaomi (to a lesser extent), the unconditional leadership of Honor in the Middle Kingdom is a matter of the near future.
