In Europe, the presentation of Xiaomi Book S 12.4 “was held – a transformer device based on Windows 11. Following the 2-in-1 concept, the device is able to act both as a tablet and a laptop (when a magnetic keyboard is connected). The novelty is equipped with 12.35 “LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a frequency of 60 Hz, stereo speakers and a pair of cameras: 13 MP main and 5 MP front. Despite the existence of the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3, Xiaomi decided to use the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 chipset, Qualcomm’s 8-core 7nm solution for laptops, introduced in the fall of 2020.
The battery life of the novelty, according to Xiaomi measurements, is about 13 hours (with a display brightness of 150 nits). Xiaomi Book S 12.4″ arrived in Europe in one memory configuration (8/256GB) for €699. The magnetic keyboard is sold separately for €100. Sales have already started.
