The consequences of the departure of the world’s largest brands from Russia are beginning to take on more and more vivid outlines: for example, there is a shortage of spare parts for the iPhone in the country. The alarm is being sounded by authorized Apple service centers, whose warehouses have run out of stocks of parts needed to repair devices. First of all, there is a shortage of screens and batteries, which is why repairs that were usually carried out on the same day of contact can now take a week or even more. Customers are encouraged to leave their iPhone and wait, because the device now has to be sent directly to the Apple representative, where it will be repaired and sent back.

It comes to the point that some third-party service centers are forced to refuse to repair. Even worse is the situation with iPhones imported into the country by “parallel imports” – Apple simply does not extend its warranty to them, which means that in the event of claims, all responsibility will fall on Russian retailers. And they, in order to compensate for the difficulties, may well resort to raising prices.
