Last summer, Samsung teamed up with Google to shake up the smartwatch market by introducing the Galaxy Watch 4 with WearOS 3 as the software foundation. Now, ahead of the launch of the Galaxy Watch 5, it’s time to take a look at the year-long progress of the mighty tandem. The informant Evan Blass (@evlkeaks) suggested doing this by posting screenshots of the updated wearOS 3.5 with the One UI Watch 4.5 shell. In addition to a bunch of new watch faces, users will get advanced text input options from the watch (voice, virtual keyboard, and even handwriting).
Also added is the ability to select the desired SIM card when making calls, screen color correction options for people with color blindness, as well as many other small sound settings and tactile interaction with the watch. Learn more about everything at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is expected in August.
