Next week will be extremely interesting due to the abundance of high-level new products. And let’s start right from Monday, when the presentation of the first devices on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 – the Xiaomi 12S series will take place. This moment is also felt by the Chinese company itself, which dedicated today’s posts on social networks to hardware. And Xiaomi says a lot of good words about the new brainchild of Qualcomm. Thus, a 33% reduction in power consumption for the CPU and 30% for the GPU is mentioned in comparison with its predecessors, an excellent result in throttling at an external temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and even at 35 degrees, as well as an increase in autonomy by 15%.

Note that the problems of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with heating and throttling in many cases overshadowed talk about the benefits of 4nm architecture and Qualcomm developments. The rehabilitation of the Americans is associated with the transition to the TSMC architecture (the version of the end of last year had Samsung), but it is not yet clear if there is a real practical difference. Xiaomi’s presentation will be the first in a series of announcements of flagships based on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
