This morning, China hosted the official launch ceremony for auto giant Geely’s “strategic investment” in favor of Meizu under the heading “Heart of Meizu, a fresh start.” In this regard, there were several news. Let’s start with the bad: according to Digital Chat Station, the Meizu 19 series has been delayed until early next year. However, the first good news follows from this: the devices will almost certainly immediately come out on the SM8550 chipset, tentatively called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The second good news is that Meizu will remain an independent brand, will continue to develop itself and the Flyme shell. Well, as a bonus, the company decided to offer brand fans a nostalgic video dedicated to the history of Meizu since the release of the first Meizu M8 smartphone back in 2009.
