Less than two months separates us from the new generation of iPhone. The update will be big by Apple standards, with at least two older models ditching the iconic “eyebrow” in favor of front-facing holes and sensors, as well as offering a 48-megapixel main camera with small pixels instead of a 12-megapixel analog with large ones. This will most likely be the only significant change on the camera side, and those who expect a high degree of digital zoom from the iPhone should wait another year. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple is entering a two-year production cycle associated with the introduction of periscope optics to the telephoto lens of its smartphones. For the first time we will see such a camera in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and a year later such a module will appear in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

High-ASP 1G2P, two High-ASP prisms and a holder for them Assembly will be more difficult than existing solutions, and therefore suppliers have already begun to rebuild and invest in. The question of cost remains open and will remain so until production starts very close. In any case components suppliers will see a significant increase in revenue, which the analyst estimates in which cases this increase could be 60-70%.In the meantime, we are waiting for the iPhone 14 and its new camera paradigm.
