Recent newcomer Nothing Phone (1) received the first update to the NothingOS UI on Android 12. The firmware went beyond fixing bugs and applying the July security patch (although this is also present here), but also added a number of previously announced features. In particular, Nothing is trying to make its smartphone friends with Tesla, and also provides its customers with access to NFT tools. In addition, the company heard feedback on the possibility of disabling the search widget on the home screen, moved the proprietary camera glyph effects to portrait mode, optimized camera performance and power consumption in standby mode, and fixed the problem with the disappearance of the fingerprint scanner icon on the screen. The assembly size was only 117 MB. Plans to upgrade to Android 13 will be revealed with the release of the final version of the latter.
