Russian telecom operators, who see what kind of smartphones Russians use like no one else, shared their observations for the first half of 2022. The crown of the leader is held by Samsung, despite everything, which managed to achieve a market share at the level of the previous year (28.2%). The second largest number of subscribers was Xiaomi, whose devices are preferred by 22-23% of users. But in the third position there was a reshuffle: the share of Huawei decreased by 4.28%, thanks to which Apple pulled ahead: almost every fifth (18.7%) active smartphone in the country is an apple one. The fifth line is occupied by Realme with a share of 2.78-3% of subscribers. We emphasize that these are not sales figures, but directly the share of devices constantly used in cellular networks.

Brought operators and statistics on specific models. According to MegaFon, the iPhone 11 remains the most popular in the country – it is used by about 3% of the total number of subscribers. It is followed by Samsung Galaxy A12 and Honor 10 Lite with shares of 2.12% and 1.8% respectively. Yota’s calculations are slightly different: the iPhone 11 is still in the lead, but the iPhone XR, Samsung Galaxy A51, Xiaomi Redmi 9A and iPhone 7 follow.
