Reports of big changes to Grand Theft Auto began to surface long before Rockstar Games confirmed GTA VI was in development , and frankly, it’s about time. And now, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has confirmed in a separate post that Rockstar Games has updated its corporate culture, and this has influenced the development of the sixth number part of the world-famous crime thriller. Yes, according to the journalist’s informants, a rake female character will appear in GTA VI and it will be a Latin American girl.
Jason Schreier, citing people close to the development of GTA, claims that the Latin American heroine will become one of the two main characters. The plot and the creation of the heroes of the developers were inspired by the sensational story of a pair of notorious criminals – Bonnie and Clyde 
notable American robbers active during the Great Depression .

A Bloomberg publication notes that Rockstar has made many development changes and, among other things, has reduced the pay gap between female and male developers that exists behind the scenes. The leadership also pledged not to ignore and respond in a reciprocal way to openly intolerant insulting jokes about minorities and marginalized groups.

This is a very big change that has huge implications for the future of the franchise – if these reports are true, then GTA VI will be the first game in the series to feature a female protagonist. But there is also a downside to the coin, and such a sharp change in course may not appeal to all connoisseurs of the series – the previous parts are characterized by the sexual objectification of women and they had enough transphobic jokes.
The code part of the new GTA VI is Project Americas, and the action takes place in a fictional Miami with a world that is constantly expanding over time, adding new cities for players to explore. This means that the chances of approaching the house and just going there are significantly increased. According to the report, GTA VI promises a lot of new things, so Rockstar has every chance in the future to shake up the industry once again. But as always, it is better to focus on the present and not create excessive expectations in order to save yourself from bitter disappointments.
