The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that now paid license plates can be installed on all vehicles in Ukraine. “Beautiful” combinations of paired numbers like “5577” or someone’s year of birth “2000” became available not only to car owners.
On July 24, the Decree concerning the Procedure for State Registration of Vehicles and allowing paid license plates for absolutely all vehicles came into force.
So the owners of mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, three- and ATVs, trucks, buses , who wanted a certain combination of numbers and could not get it, can now do it.
Such a procedure for replacing a license plate, respectively, means re-registration of the vehicle. The cost of this service is approximately 512 UAH (service + certificate form). And the cost of a new license plate can be checked online .

For re-registration, you should choose a convenient territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and register to receive the service. The list of documents that an individual or legal entity needs to have with them can be clarified at the following link .
In addition, the conditions for the paid storage of license plates in service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been changed and extended for the duration of martial law. Destruction of license plates in storage is postponed until the owner applies. That is, if the period of storage of license plates has expired, and the owner has not extended it, because there is no such possibility right now, then the license plates will not be disposed of yet. The countdown of the period of storage of these license plates stops and their destruction is not performed.
In the future, it will be possible to extend the period of storage of license plates after the lifting of martial law. However, if you cannot pay for license plate storage during martial law, your license plate will still remain in storage. Payment can be made later. Note that the transfer of license plates in safekeeping to other territorial service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is not provided for by law.
