In doing so, the company unexpectedly encountered problematic quality in a key component, which is not uncommon in the early stages of mass production. According to authoritative analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we are talking about the main camera lenses of the iPhone 14, manufactured by Genius, and suffering from the problem of “cracking coating”. Because of this, Apple urgently postponed an order for the production of 10 million Largan lenses.

The source notes that this situation should not affect the production of the iPhone 14, since Largan is ready to quickly fill the supply gap. At the same time, it is not mentioned whether Genius lenses managed to get into the first batches of new products, which means that the first potential problem of the iPhone 14 loomed on the horizon.
