PrivatBank and MoneyGram have launched a new service in Ukraine, thanks to which Ukrainians will be able to receive MoneyGram transfers by direct debit to the hryvnia accounts of PrivatBank and other MoneyGram partner banks in Ukraine.
To quickly receive a transfer, it is worth providing the sender of the IBAN hryvnia card of PrivatBank (or another Ukrainian bank) with the name and surname of the recipient in Latin letters. After sending the transfer, the money will be automatically credited to the card, and the client will receive a notification about the transfer of funds.
“During the war, we do not stop for a minute and work with partners to improve existing and create new innovative services for Ukrainians that allow us to support Ukrainians from anywhere in the world,” says Maria Strashko, head of PrivatBank’s international transfers department. Thanks to the use of the most modern technologies, we have made receiving international transfers simple and comfortable, without any additional effort on the part of the recipient.”
Financial assistance to Ukrainians from international organizations paid through MoneyGram will also be automatically credited to the cards of PrivatBank or other banks. Now Ukrainians do not need to wait for the control number of the transfer from the international organization and apply to bank branches to receive the transfer.
Details of the IBAN account of the PrivatBank card can be found in Privat24, using the menu “Services” → “Transfers” → “SWIFT” → “Details”, in the self-service terminal: on the top right, click “Settings” -> “Get card details” -> insert the Payment card → enter the PIN code –> click “Print” or in the Online Support Chat under the “details” tag.
MoneyGram transfers are credited to PrivatBank cards automatically 24/7/365 (even on weekends and holidays). The speed of transferring MoneyGram transfers to cards of other Ukrainian banks depends on the work of the NBU EPS and the beneficiary’s bank, the maximum period is up to 3 business days.
