How the social project in support of Ukrainians works

The TechMission team supported the idea of creating an all-Ukrainian social project for the employment of Ukrainians who suffered from the war. Now every IT employer can join him and help people who are having a hard time.

How it works? Here is a recent example.

A lot of people applied for free TechMission training and employment. The team studied each of them in detail and decided to give the first preferential place to Marina from Kharkov. Her story, incredible determination and optimism impressed the entire team.

The young woman has a pedagogical education and little experience in school. Before the war, she worked as an administrator, then grew to a top manager and even led a chain of clothing stores. Everything was going great, but the company where Marina worked closed its representative office in Ukraine, and she lost her job.

The woman did not give up, but remembered her former hobby and turned it into her small business – for this she mastered hairdressing from scratch and opened a salon. A year later, Marina became the champion of Ukraine among the masters of salon haircuts. And at this time, all plans were destroyed by the war.

The woman lost her apartment in her native Kharkov and was forced to flee with her twelve-year-old son and beloved dog to Germany. A sick mother and credit card debts remained in Ukraine, because Marina suffered from scammers. After a few months abroad, she realized that it was useless to wait for help from strangers. And when I heard about privileged places in the IT academy, I applied for training and received a preferential place.

Marina says that this is a chance for her to get a quality education without investing money. After the final exam, she will undergo an internship.

The TechMission team just launched this initiative, so there will be more stories like this in the near future. Three or four training groups start every month, each of which has been allocated two preferential places.
