Electric vehicle owners who use the services of commercial charging stations are often forced to look for something to do while charging. Sitting inside a car or walking in circles around it is far from the most reasonable solution, but there is often no alternative, since, unlike fuel stations, electric charging stations have not yet acquired the appropriate infrastructure. The bk World company decided to solve a similar problem, which installed its proprietary automated MAF (small architectural form) Qubes next to one of the branded Tesla Supercharger chargers in Germany.
The premises are built on the basis of modular blocks that can be quickly assembled, disassembled and transported to a new location. To enter inside, you need to download the bk World branded application to your smartphone, generate a QR code and scan it using the camera on the front doors. Thus, the company wants to maintain order and avoid damage to property in the absence of service personnel.
Inside, the visitor is waiting for an air-conditioned room where you can order food and drinks in vending machines (there is even a separate pizza mini-bakery machine, but for some reason it was placed outside), use the toilet or just sit in the waiting area with sockets for laptops and smartphones. Well, children will surely appreciate a TV with a connected Nintendo Switch game console and a pair of joysticks.
This is one of the first Qubes waiting areas from bk World, however, company representatives noted that they planned to install about 300 such stations throughout Europe, and not all of them will be near the Tesla Supercharger, other electric charging networks will also be able to install such a solution.
