The Huawei Mate 50 line, which was scheduled to be released last fall, is still preparing for the announcement. According to the leaker with the nickname “Classmate Factory Manager Guan” (Chang Zhang Shi Guan Tongxue), three smartphones will be presented in September – we are talking about the Huawei Mate 50, Huawei Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS models. The first teasers will appear in early September, and the devices will materialize on Chinese shelves towards the end of the month. Note that in Guan’s message there is not a word about the Huawei Mate 50X phablet – perhaps it will be released later, or the final decision on its release has not yet been made.
Recall, earlier it was reported that the Huawei Mate 50 line will include four smartphones. The lower models Mate 50 and Mate 50X will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4G, the Mate 50 Pro will get Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G, and the flagship Mate 50 RS will be based on the new proprietary Kirin 9000S chip. How Huawei is going to release the improved flagship processor is unknown, but rumor has it that it will be manufactured in China at the SMIC factory – the same place where the Kirin 710A is produced.
