On August 1, the largest music streaming service Spotify launched the long-awaited podcast function in Ukraine – access to the new section is gradually opening up in the web version and mobile applications on Android and iOS (no action is required from users, since support is deployed automatically on the server side).
The fact that Ukrainian users of Spotify will soon open the coveted podcasts was noticed by users of social networks on the eve of the launch of the function.

And now, Spotify has quietly launched podcasts in Ukraine – since the launch of streaming in July 2020, it has been one of the most frequently requested (or perhaps most requested) features. Thus, it took exactly two years for Spotify to launch podcasts in Ukraine.
To get access to podcasts, it is not necessary to pay a subscription – the function is available even in the free plan with ads.
For convenience, the section with podcasts is divided into separate categories. Also, some podcasts can be found through search and start listening.
The section with podcasts in the Ukrainian Spotify includes both Ukrainian and foreign language releases.
At the beginning of the year, Spotify completely left the Russian market and this did not particularly harm him – in the financial report for the second quarter of 2022, the company announced an increase in the number of users with premium plans to 188 million (14% year-on-year) and the number of active users per month (MAU) to 433 million (+19%). Now we are waiting for regional subscription prices in hryvnias (US prices in dollars are currently valid for Ukrainians).
