Capcom game director Takayuki Nakayama spoke on the PlayStation blog about Juri returning to the series and a completely new character – Kimberly, a child prodigy and lover of 80s culture.
Juri, who favors spikes and black, purple and emerald green, debuted Super Street Fighter 4. The girl’s clothes and hair have been freshened up to match the aesthetic of the sixth game. The expressive part of the costume is a ribbon in the form of a spider that covers her body. Stylish accessories reveal Juri’s character: a bike and a motorcycle helmet, as well as a smartphone in a pink case with funny ears.
The criminal ninja, who went over to the side of good, retained her combat experience. Some moves from previous games are available to the character: Fuhajin, Upward Kick, saves Fuha’s supplies after completion. Saihasho, Ankensatsu, and Go Osatsu became separate moves that can be combined at the expense of Fuha. Shiku-sen Juri, jump kick, can open a series of kicks.
Kimberly graduated early from college and decided to devote herself to a ninja career, becoming Guy’s apprentice. The girl is passionate about the culture of the 80s, she always carries a cassette player and a spray can with her (they are also used in battle). Her outfit is inspired by athletes and cheerleaders. Kimberly’s hairstyle, which consists of several long braids, develops spectacularly in the air while running and attacking.
A wunderkind fighter uses power moves that open up an opponent for attacks. Her style is urban combat. A spray paint can become a shuriken bomb in a fight. Kimberly is able to hide in colorful smoke, suddenly emerging from it for an instant attack. She also has a ninja sprint in her arsenal, which can be supplemented with various kicks or step in an arc with repulsion from the enemy.
In addition to new and updated characters, Street Fighter 6 received a real-time commentary feature. Famous members of the fighting community will be able to comment on your matches.
