Previously, Intel has already brought its gaming graphics cards to the market under the Arc brand, however, the reviews of the first devices were disappointing . Now Intel has introduced Arc Pro series graphics cards designed for desktop and mobile workstations. They are designed to provide a performance boost to applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Handbrake and DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Intel introduced the Arc Pro line, which initially has 3 models of graphics cards. The Intel Arc Pro A40 version is an entry-level device and has a “tiny single-slot form factor. The Arc Pro A50 model is already a larger solution and occupies two slots in the system unit. The Intel Arc Pro A30M version was created specifically for laptops. The Arc Pro A40 and Arc Pro A30M models have 3.50 teraflops of graphics performance, while the Arc Pro A50 has 4.80 teraflops. Desktop models are equipped with 6 GB of memory, while the mobile version is content with 4 GB of memory.
All three models support ray tracing and machine learning capabilities. In addition, all models support AV1 hardware accelerated encoding, which Intel says is an industry first. New items have four connectors Mini DisplayPort to organize configurations of multiple displays. They can support two 8K displays at 60Hz, one 5K display at 240Hz, two 5K displays at 120Hz, or four 4K displays at 60Hz.
The new Intel Arc Pro professional graphics cards will be available later this year, “from leading partners in the mobile and desktop ecosystem.” Their prices have not yet been announced.
