Samsung unexpectedly released a software update for the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2015) budget smartphone. Thus, the company surpassed even Apple – this year it stopped releasing updates for the iPhone 6S, also announced in 2015. True, in the case of Samsung, we are not talking about a big update. Officially, the changelog only reports “improvements in GPS stability”, but it is unlikely that the Koreans really bothered with the stability of GPS on the old state employees. Most likely, a critical vulnerability was discovered in the firmware, which should have been fixed even in the interests of those few people who continue to use the Galaxy J7 (2015).
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2015)
In the past, Samsung has not been persistent in releasing updates for this smartphone. The J700F modification was last updated in April 2018, and the J700H was updated in August 2017 (five years ago!). The Galaxy J7 (2015) received a major update only once, updating from Android 5.1 Lollipop to Android 6 Marshmallow.
