The situation on the smartphone market in Russia continues to change rapidly. Based on data from Russian retailers for July, Kommersant reports a 90% drop in shipments from Apple and Samsung since the beginning of the year, and their combined share could fall to 10% by the end of the year if “parallel imports” do not gain momentum. According to MTS, Realme broke into the second line of sales in July, taking 17% of the market (13.4% a month earlier).
Xiaomi remains the undisputed market leader (42% including Redmi and POCO), Samsung’s share decreased to 8.5% (from 10.9% in June), and Apple completely lost the 4th position to the Tecno brand, which managed to take 7.5% market against 7% for Cupertino. In total, 2.3 million smartphones were sold in July for a total amount of about 36.7 billion rubles, and the average bill of a smartphone for the month decreased by 6% to 16,100 rubles.
