Motorola introduced the mid-range smartphone Motorola Edge (2022) in the US, which received several interesting features at once. First, the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset debuted in the new product – an overclocked version of the 920 with support for the fastest 5G modification, mmWave. Secondly, the novelty received a top-end screen in terms of its characteristics: a 6.6″ OLED panel with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels is updated at a frequency of 144 Hz and has a color depth of 10 bits. Thirdly, 15 W wireless charging is supported – and this is in times when not every flagship is equipped with a Qi coil! Moreover, there is even reverse wireless charging – at 5W.
Other specs include under-display fingerprint scanner, 5000mAh battery with 30W charging, IP52 minimum water resistance, triple camera (50MP with 1µm pixels and OIS + 13MP AF-wide + depth sensor), 32MP front camera, stereo speakers, an array of 3 microphones, an NFC module, and for some reason only one slot for a SIM card. The smartphone will be available in exactly one modification: 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of ROM, black case. The price has not yet been named. Whether to wait for the Motorola Edge (2022) outside the US is also unclear.
