Walt Disney Studios has released a new trailer for the modern film adaptation of Pinocchio starring Tom Hanks, which was worked on by Forrest Gump director Robert Zemeckis (he also co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Weitz).
Pinocchio by Robert Zemeckis will premiere on September 8, 2022 on Disney+.

We already saw Tom Hanks in the image of the woodcarver Geppetto in the previous trailer , and the new video fully demonstrates the revived puppet Pinocchio and other characters from Carlo Collodi’s amazing fairy tale.

New Pinocchio trailer in original English
The film is a film adaptation of the 1940 Disney cartoon of the same name, based on the 1883 Italian book The Adventures of Pinocchio by author Carlo Collodi. In the story, wood carver Geppetto, played by Tom Genks, notices a shooting star and makes a wish, his most cherished wish, that his wooden Pinocchio doll turn into a living boy. The Blue Fairy (Cynthia Erivo) does the will of the puppeteer and asks Jiminy the cricket to be Pinocchio’s conscience and help him complete the transformation.
The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer, Inception, The Dark Knight Returns and Looper), Luke Evans (The Hobbit) and Keegan-Michael Key (Cat and Peel) . The music was written by composer Alan Silvestri (“Back to the Future”, “Polar Express”).
Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro
Do not confuse the film adaptation of “Pinocchio” by Robert Zemeckis with the puppet cartoon “Pinocchio”, on which the director of “ Pan’s Labyrinth “ and “ Pacific Rim “ Guillermo del Toro worked.
