The Fold format of folding smartphones provides for work with two displays, where the software adapts to the one used in a separate scenario. The recent Galaxy Z Fold 4 was the first of a series based on Android 12L, designed specifically for foldable devices. But what if the device worked on Windows? Now we have the opportunity to look at it. Blogger Mark Spurell posted a video where he showed the legendary tiled interface on the external screen and the Windows 10 desktop inside. Settings, the start button, setting the placement of icons, communication with a PC and other basic functions work in this format.
As always, there is a nuance: as the classics put it, “the king is not real.” Before us are two separate launchers – for the external and internal display, and the basis is still Android. However, outwardly, the device becomes part of the Microsoft ecosystem. Recall that the Windows Phone project is dead, and Microsoft also relies on Android for its Surface Phone series. Would you like such a system natively?
