Although only a week remains before the Apple presentation, previously unknown details of the iPhone 14 do not stop popping up on the Web. This time we are talking about an upgrade, perhaps the weakest aspect of existing iPhones – charging power. A new rumor suggests that at least some models of the new iPhone 14 could get 30W charging. This is 1.5 times more powerful than the 20W that the iPhone 13 series offers, which could be a great promotional aspect of the new line. The source of this information was an unnamed brand of chargers, allegedly sending out 30W adapters to reviewers who will receive early access to the iPhone 14.
It is worth recalling that tests of the iPhone 13 Pro Max a year ago showed that it is capable of temporarily charging at a power of 27 watts, which means that Apple is quite ready for the commercial launch of fast charging technology. On the other hand, the iPhone’s Lightning connector peaks at 9V at 3A, which adds up to 27W. But even such an increase will be noticeable against the background of 20 watts. Also today it became known about a useful upgrade to the wide-angle camera in the older iPhone 14 Pro.
