Design and pricing of POCO M5 and POCO M5s declassified before launch

September 01, 2022, 09:33

POCO recently announced its intention to launch its new affordable M-series smartphones for the global market on September 5th. The sources of the 91mobiles publication managed to slightly get ahead of the events, declassifying the design, filling and price tags of both new products. So, the base POCO M5 outwardly is almost a complete copy of POCO M4 5G with the only difference being that the novelty has one more dummy camera, the color palette is supplemented with a yellow variant, and the covers themselves are textured “under the skin”. The device, as early rumors said, is based on the Helio G99 chipset, and the likely price tags are €189 and €209 for the 4/64 and 4/128 GB versions.

The second novelty of the brand will be POCO M5s, which looks like an almost complete copy of the recent Redmi Note 11 SE (aka Redmi Note 10S) – you can only distinguish them by the POCO inscription next to the camera block. The filling of the device is not specified, but it is unlikely that it will be very different from the above Redmi models. POCO M5s is expected to hit the shelves for €229 and €249 for 4/64 and 4/128 GB versions in black, white and gradient colors.
