Together with the usual Huawei Mate 50 and 50 Pro , the luxury model Mate 50 RS Porsche Design was released, which has already become a traditional part of the series. In fact, this is a slightly modified Mate 50 Pro in terms of design and cameras. There are two key differences: the periscope switched to a 48-megapixel sensor and acquired a macro function. The device is also a little heavier and thicker, although the battery has not increased in capacity (4700 mAh). At the core, the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is installed in a 4G modification, and the “bangs” with a 3D ToF face scanner have not disappeared from the front.
Well, now about the main thing: Huawei put up some kind of space price tag for the Mate 50 RS: 12,999 yuan ($1,868). This is more than twice (!) More expensive than Xiaomi 12S Ultra and the same Mate 50 Pro. Why, even the folding Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 in the top configuration 12/1024 GB costs 1000 yuan cheaper. The device will arrive on Chinese shelves on September 21 in a single 12/512 GB configuration in dark blue and light purple colors.
