Announcement of Sony Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition and Xperia Stream with LAN and cooler

September 12, 2022, 07:25

Today Sony held a press conference under the slogan “Born to Game”. As expected, the company showed a novelty aimed at gamers on it – however, it turned out to be not a smartphone, but just a case with a built-in fan and a bunch of ports (LAN, HDMI, USB Type-C and 3.5 mm). The device is called Sony Xperia Stream and is only compatible with Xperia 1 IV. Sony is especially proud of the design of the Xperia Stream air duct, which allows you to cool not only the back of the phone, but also the front (judging by the promotional materials, this is achieved by blowing the screen through the holes above and below the front panel). The case weighs 142 g and measures 185 x 80 x 39 mm.

In addition, a bundle of the Sony Xperia 1 IV and Xperia Stream, dubbed the Sony Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition, will be sold in Japan. The price of the kit will be 190,000 yen (80,700 rubles), the price of the cover is 24,000 yen (10,200 rubles).
