At the end of September (23-25) a defense hackathon IDI Camp will take place in Kiev , an event organized in partnership with Ukroboronprom and the Ministry of Digital Development to develop software and technologies designed to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine accelerate victory. The organizers said that more than 150 participants had already agreed to present their ideas and developments, and also named the main topics of the event. Among them are electromagnetic weapons and interceptor drones.

The organizers note that they will not limit the participants to these topics only – they can present their own ideas, developments and inventions. The main condition is that they be useful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or help eliminate the consequences of the war.
Registration will continue until September 16 inclusive – you can apply on the official website of IDI Camp. First of all, programmers working in Python, Java, R, C ++, Tensorflow or engaged in Embedded development, drone operators, radio engineers and design engineers are invited to participate in the hackathon. At the same time, self-taught masters who can be useful in creating breakthrough technological solutions are also promised to find a place at the hackathon.
Participants of the IDI Camp hackathon will compete for a prize pool of $20,000. In addition, the best developments can receive investments from partners. The event will take place from September 23 to 25 in Kyiv – the exact places and times, for security reasons, will be known only to IDI Camp participants.
The organizers of the hackathon are Evgeny Goroshko (visionary and operational head of the hackathon), Dmitry Kovalchuk (owner of Alterra Group and Blaize), Anatoly Maslov (founder and CEO of ElifTech). Also among the partners it is worth noting the Ukrainian Startup Fund, Sigma Software and the Palyanitsa charity project.
In August , the first international hackathon on the creation of technologies for drones was held , organized by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with Ukroboronprom. 150 design engineers, radio engineers, drone operators and programmers took part in it. At the same time, Mikhail Fedorov, head of the Ministry of Digital Development, hinted at the production of drones on an industrial scale in Ukraine in the final report.
