Along with iOS 16 , Apple also released watchOS 9. To install the update on your smartwatch, you first need to download iOS 16 on your iPhone.
You can install watchOS 9 on Apple Watch Series 4 and newer smartwatches. It should also be noted that some features from the new operating system may not be available on some Apple Watch models and in some regions.
Like previous updates, watchOS 9 has a focus on fitness. Users will be able to see their heart rate zones while exercising and viewing sleep cycles. There’s also support for multi-sport training and the ability to track personal best results. In addition, you can set reminders to take medication. Additionally, the Siri interface has been redesigned, quick actions have been updated, and several new watch faces have been added.
Separately, the AFib History function should be noted. It allows you to include a history of tracking atrial fibrillation, which is often the cause of a stroke. This feature is only for users over the age of 22 who have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. And even in watchOS 9, an energy-saving Low Power Mode appeared, which allows you to extend the battery life of your watch. When activated, the watch disables a number of features such as Always On display, heart rate notifications for irregular rhythm, high and low heart rate, background heart rate measurements, background blood oxygen measurements, reminder to start a workout. Also, some tasks may take longer to complete, and the animation will lose its smoothness. Both of these innovations are available starting with Apple Watch Series 4.
