Apple has begun rolling out a major iOS 16 update. Starting at 10:00 AM ET, the firmware update is available for iPhone 13, 12, 11 and other models, which you can see below. The new firmware provides the user with extensive lock screen settings, including the ability to customize widgets and view notifications, fundamental changes in iMessage (the ability to change sent messages, mark as unread, and so on), text recognition in images, security and privacy improvements, and much more. You can update through a special menu in the smartphone settings. The first devices to come preloaded with iOS 16 will be the iPhone 14. iPadOS 16 is now a separate ecosystem and will be available at a later date.
