This year, the presentation of the new Qualcomm chipset for next year’s flagships will take place earlier than usual – it is officially confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be shown in mid-November. High hopes are pinned on this hardware, and now the well-known source of leaks, Digital Chat Station, has slightly lifted the veil of secrecy. On his channel, he said that the chipset will receive a version that will break the 3.4-3.5 GHz mark for the CPU, and also raise the bar for the GPU. Moreover, the informant believes that the Americans can impose serious competition on their colleagues from Apple and even bypass the A-series in terms of graphics performance.

True, there is a downside to the coin – Digital Chat Station does not expect revelations on power consumption, although it should be noted that Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 has taken a confident step in this direction. The first smartphones on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 can be expected at the end of this year. We expect to test in January.
