EVGA has announced that it will not release NVIDIA graphics cards after the RTX 3000 series. According to the company, the actual break of the 22-year partnership with NVIDIA was due to “disrespectful attitude.” In particular, the “greens” are accused of incomprehensible and closed from the partner pricing policy, which was exacerbated by the mining crisis.
EVGA claims that NVIDIA does not promptly share product information, engineering details, and issues. A user problem that occurred some time ago with EVGA GeForce 3090 adapters may also be due to poor communication with the graphics chip manufacturer.
The company, which was NVIDIA’s main partner in the US and UK markets, is now losing up to several hundred dollars on RTX 3000 graphics cards and still does not know the recommended prices for the next series. EVGA has made a trial batch of RTX 4090 cards , but they will not go on sale.
The company also does not produce AMD or Intel video cards at the moment, and it is not known whether it intends to. Given that 75% of its revenues were video cards, the company’s future looks bleak. Its very name stands for Extreme Video Graphics Adapter – which would look rather strange for a brand that does not produce graphics adapters.
The company will continue the warranty service for previously released RTX 3000 video cards, as well as the sale of stock balances. Considering that EVGA already makes motherboards for AMD, we can assume that they will cooperate more closely in the future.
