The first information about the sub-flagship Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset, which should replace the unpopular Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 , appeared back in July. Then the authoritative informant Digital Chat Station said that the novelty can be called the Lite version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, hinting at high performance at a compromise price. Now Roland Quandt shared the specifics of the chip architecture. According to him, this will be the first tri-cluster Snapdragon 7-series solution, which will include one ultra-powerful Prime core at a frequency of 2.4xx GHz, three Gold cores at a similar frequency, and 4 Silver cores (up to 1.8 GHz). It is known that TSMC will take over its production this time instead of Samsung, but the launch date has not yet been mentioned.
