As experienced readers could guess from the abundance of news from Japan, the presentation of the NTT DoCoMo winter collection took place today. The line turned out to be richer than many previous ones – it included 12 devices. Four of them, however, have been known to us for a long time: Galaxy Z Flip 4 , Galaxy Z Fold 4 , Sony Xperia 5 IV and Sharp Aquos Sense 7 . We wrote about two new items separately: FCNT Arrows N and Galaxy A23 . Finally, we will not talk about the new 5G Wi-Fi router manufactured by Sharp and some kind of home 5G device that is simply called Home 5G – nothing interesting. There are 4 more devices that will be discussed in this material.
Kyocera Digno Keitai KY-42C
Let’s start with the Kyocera Digno Keitai. This is a novelty in the classic Japanese clamshell genre, which has hardly undergone any changes compared to previous models. Of the innovations, there is only a mode for improving the readability of the screen and a USB Type-C connector for recharging. There is also such an interesting feature: the phone automatically records all calls, and after the call you can choose whether you need a recording or not. Of course, nowhere without protection: IP58, MIL-STD-810H (13 points), resistance to sanitizers and liquid soap. There is an FM radio, and you can use not only headphones, but also yourself as an antenna by placing your finger on the microphone. In terms of hardware, the clamshell is an ultra-budget Android smartphone: Helio A22, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of memory, 8-megapixel camera, 3.4 “FWVGA + screen, 1500 mAh battery.
Kyocera Kids’ Phone KY-41C
The second novelty of Kyocera is the updated Kids’ Phone. This is a touch phone, that is, a simple phone with a touch screen. The device has a full set of baby phone features: the SOS function (pulling a round thing on an elastic band), lack of Internet access, location control, the ability to call numbers only from the white list, and so on. At the same time, there are also a couple of 5-megapixel cameras, and in other respects, Kids’ Phone is similar to Digno Keitai.
Sharp dtab d-51C
In addition, a couple of inexpensive 5G tablets have entered the lineup. The updated Sharp dtab received a 10.1″ IPS screen with WUXGA resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory, a 6680 mAh battery and IP68 water resistance. The device is positioned as a device for web browsing, video communication and home video viewing.
Lenovo dtab Compact d-52C
Not without a compact dtab Compact model with generally similar characteristics, but reduced to 8.4 “screen (with the same resolution) and a battery of only 5000 mAh. In addition, it has only IP53 water protection. But there are also advantages above the older model: unlike dtab, this tablet supports Dolby Atmos. It is curious that such a similarity of the two models was achieved by entrusting their production to different companies (8.4 “tablet is made by Lenovo).
