The plot of the stamp is centered around a remastered scene from the movie Titanic, in which Rose (Kate Winslet) and Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) stand in front of the destroyed Crimean Bridge.

“Since the eyes of millions of experts, diplomats, politicians and ordinary people from all over the world are riveted to the theater of military operations in Ukraine, and not all of them understand the sacred significance of the Crimean bridge for Russia and the importance of its damage for the course of the Ukrainian-Russian war, it was decided for the sketch of the stamp use scenes from a famous movie. Just as the myth about the unsinkability of the steamer was spreading, so Russia built the myth that the Crimean Bridge is a symbol of the eternal connection between the Ukrainian Crimea and Russia,” Ukrposhta said in a statement.
The design of the brand, in addition to the main plot, will include some “details and hints”:
- a cigarette butt in the hands of the heroine of the scene, as evidence that the invaders have recently “suffered greatly from smoking in prohibited places”;
- an occupiers’ car moving into the abyss, from which washing machines and other stolen property of Ukrainians fly;
- A broken enemy tank “accidentally” flying over the bridge, which was transported by the invaders to the front as part of a column.
The design of the stamp was developed by Ukrainian artist Yuriy Shapoval, who works in the technique of painting, drawing and installation. He graduated from the Poltava National Technical University named after Yuriy Kondratyuk, is a participant in all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions and plein airs.
The preliminary start of stamp sales is the first half of November 2022. Ukrposhta promises to publish details regarding the release date of the stamp and terms of sale later.
Earlier, the postal operator issued stamps with the legendary mine-clearing dog Patron and the world’s largest An-225 Mriya aircraft destroyed by the invaders. And the first stamp of Ukrposhta, issued during the full-scale invasion of Russia, called “Russian military ship, go to ***” caused such a stir that the online store could not cope with the load .

After a loud explosion, which locals heard around 6 am, there were a lot of photos and videos showing how the fuel tanks of a freight train were burning. There were also publications with a destroyed part of the roadway. Following this, social networks were filled with memes that Ukrainians traditionally meet with any “claps” in Crimea.
