Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the upcoming Redmi Note 12 series will mark the global market debut of the promising MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip, which was unveiled in the middle of this month. The corresponding teaser was published today in social networks. In a comment to the post, the company called its advantages “ultra-stable performance”, as well as excellent energy efficiency, which will provide better battery life. The TSMC architecture is also mentioned, which today is a quality mark and is associated with minimal throttling.
The chip itself is a 6nm octa-core solution with a pair of “strong” Cortex-A78 cores and a sextet of energy-efficient Cortex-A55, while a quad-core Mali-G68 is responsible for graphics performance. There is access to 5G, support for 120Hz displays, LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory, and even 200MP cameras are announced. What you need for Redmi Note 12 Pro?
