Nothing Phone (1) received its sixth update in 3.5 months

October 26, 2022, 14:26

Nothing has been hard at work supporting its only smartphone, the Phone (1). Today, update 1.1.6 has become available for the device, which has brought a number of nice improvements. In particular, the maximum brightness in HDR mode and clarity in video recording mode have been increased, the launcher and battery status indicator have been optimized (now more accurately displays battery status), a number of sound effects and glyph animations have been updated, support for Google AR Core has been added, and a number of known bugs have been fixed. The security patch for September has also been applied (obviously, they will catch up in the November update).

Note that this 62 MB patch was the sixth in the short history of the smartphone (announced 3.5 months ago). From the experience of Nothing ear (1) we can say that active support will continue in the future. As for the global update to Android 13, the brand representatives promised it for the first quarter of 2023, which is also quite good.
