It’s no secret that since 2020, Google has been equipping older Pixel models with wireless charging. Perhaps even the owners have turned on the function of reverse wireless charging. But what you probably don’t know is that Google for some reason makes devices turn into wireless charging stations without the knowledge of the user. Judging by the posts on the Reddit forums, Google phone users were surprised to find that their smartphones automatically and without any purpose activate reverse wireless charging.
This happens at the moment when you decide to recharge your Pixel 5, 6 / 6 Pro, or 7 / 7 Pro via a wire “from the wall”. After a few minutes, it automatically turns off if it does not detect a current consumer (for example, a TWS headphone case or another smartphone). And although on the one hand it looks like a convenient feature, such a function should definitely have a switch in the settings, and even more so be turned off by default.
