Vivo has released a new OriginOS firmware for Vivo and IQOO smartphones from China. OriginOS 3 focused on optimizing various aspects of the user experience (about 1255 changes in total), from the visual to the implementation of certain functions, and also paid attention to expanding the ecosystem (for example, the Jovi Pro assistant now works in automotive systems, and the firmware itself can interact with the Internet -of things). We didn’t forget about security and privacy – OriginOS 3 received a number of certificates of compliance with the standards of respected organizations.
Of the new functionality, a multi-level concentration mode for different scenarios (reading, training, sleeping, and even meditation) deserves special attention, as well as an updated multi-window mode – a small window on top of the desktop can now be used even in games (for example, to play while looking through the guide) . And the sidebar has also been updated, the ability to open an application that is in a folder with one tap, the ability to drag content between applications in split screen mode has been added.
From a technical point of view, it is necessary to highlight the Smooth Touch 2.0 system (increases the smoothness of the system), a deeper integration of virtual memory into the system, a smartphone systems health check mode (Phone Health) and an “intelligent computing center”, which is responsible for the 1255 changes mentioned above in terms of performance and smoothness of the interface. Redesigned Weather, Clock and Fitness widgets.
Vivo’s flagship X-series smartphones (including the X Fold) will be the first to receive OriginOS 3. This will happen at the end of November. There are still no plans to release this firmware outside of China, and Vivo “globals” will continue to work on Funtouch OS.
