There is no doubt that Google is already working on the creation of the eighth generation of Google Pixel phones. At the same time, the first facts are already surfacing on the Web: relying on “publicly available source codes”, informant Roland Quandt (Roland Quandt) announced the development of a pair of smartphones under the code names “Shiba” and “Husky”. Referring to dog breeds, they clearly break the traditional feline naming of the Pixel series and are based on a new Google chipset called “Zuma”. It inherits the Samsung G5300 5G modem from Tensor G2, which may indicate continued cooperation between the American and Korean tech giants to create Google Tensor G3.
Both smartphones are equipped with 12 GB of RAM, and from the display resolutions it is not difficult to guess which of the models is the older one. So, “Shiba” is mentioned with a 2260 x 1080-pixel panel, claiming the title of Pixel 8, and “Husky” with a 2822 x 1344-pixel screen is more like a Pixel 8 Pro. It should be noted that at such an early stage, the very concept of smartphones may not have a final form, which means that far-reaching conclusions should not yet be made. Recall that the nearest novelties of Google will be the Pixel Tablet and the affordable Pixel 7a.
