Tecno was expected to unveil its new flagship smartphones, the Phantom X2 and X2 Pro, sometime in mid-November. However, to this day this has not happened, and reportedly will not happen in the coming days. According to African blogger Maii Hd, known for accurate predictions on Transsion (Tecno / Infinix) smartphones, the announcement of the smartphone has been postponed until 2023. According to him, Tecno continues to test the device, but GizmoChina editor Anvin has a different opinion about the reasons for the transfer.
Apparently, Tecno expected to have time to announce the Phantom X2 and X2 Pro on the still current flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipsets, but did not have time – the Taiwanese chipmaker had already released the Dimensity 9200. Not wanting to release the “initially outdated” flagship, Tecno hastily transfers it to the current flagship SoC – and that, according to Anvin, caused the delay. Who is the source of rights – we will find out in January, when the Tecno flagship finally gets to the general public.
