On the territory of Belarus, Russian special services are planning a series of terrorist attacks on critical infrastructure facilities, at the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
“Incidents” also want to take place on the territory bordering the EU and Ukraine. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It is known that in the near future a number of terrorist attacks are planned on the territory of Belarus – artificially provoked man-made disasters on critical infrastructure facilities. the main targets are the Belarusian nuclear power plant “Ostrovets”, – the message says.
According to intelligence, Russian special services are engaged in the development and implementation of the project, the Belarusian KGB was simply informed.
“Citizens of NATO countries and Ukraine are traditionally designated as responsible for terrorist attacks, who will allegedly be disguised in Belarusian military uniforms. Currently, units of the Belarusian KGB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and border troops have already been put on high alert,” the intelligence agency reports.
The GUR notes that, according to the developers of the “project”, all this should accelerate the involvement of the Belarusian army in the war in Ukraine on the side of the occupiers, as well as create the necessary public opinion for the Kremlin in Belarusian society.
Intelligence sources remind that the Ostrovets NPP was built under the Lukashenka regime in 2020 according to a Russian project and with Russian money. International experts note that the construction took place with gross violations of technological and environmental standards. The European Parliament adopted a resolution on safety at the Ostrovets NPP and expressed deep concern regarding the start of its commercial operation. Immediately after the launch, several serious accidents occurred at the station, which were accompanied by equipment explosions.
The role of Belarus in the war
The Russian Federation used the territory of Belarus for a full-scale invasion. It was from its territory that Russian troops and convoys of armored vehicles entered Ukraine and went to Kyiv.
In addition, the MiG-31K, a long-range supersonic fighter-interceptor with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile on board, conducts training flights on the territory of Belarus.
According to intelligence, Belarus plans to establish the production of projectiles for barrel artillery and rocket launcher systems.
