Currently, the law enforcement officers do not know where these people are.
During the retreat from the right bank of the Kherson region, the Russian occupiers took with them the heads of communities who refused to cooperate with them.
During the occupation, the invaders hunted people who remained loyal to Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports. These are activists, participants in the anti-terrorist operation, former military personnel and law enforcement officers.
“The whereabouts of some heads of territorial communities who did not surrender to the enemy are still unknown,” the message reads.
The occupiers established the location of such people, came to them with unauthorized searches and detained them. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainees were subjected to psychological and physical violence.
It is noted that some people were held captive for three months or more.
