CD Projekt Red held a stream during which they revealed the details of the upcoming major update for The Witcher 3. It was announced back in 2020 and is scheduled for release on December 14th. It can be installed for free by owners of copies of the game on PC and consoles.

The introduction of DLSS 2, DLSS 3 and FSR 2.1 support will allow for higher frame rates despite heavier graphics settings. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series owners can choose between High Quality (30 frames per second) and High Performance (60 frames per second) modes.

The developers have also improved the interface. Changes to the controls and user interface allow you to perform certain actions in the game faster, such as switching magic spells.
